Dream Out Loud is seeking interactive, immersive presentations for our upcoming conference focused on one of the following pillars: college & career prep, health & wellness, and/or arts & culture. Dream Out Loud to be held on May 20, 2025, at the Sheraton Lisle/NapervilleDream

We invite practitioners and industry experts with experience working with youth 16 to 24 years old to submit proposals for presentations that align with our conference objectives and engage our diverse audience.

Proposal Components

A concise and informative title that accurately reflects your topic.
Please identify the pillar/category your topic will be aligned with
A clear summary of your presentation, including key points, research findings (if applicable), and the takeaways for the audience.
Briefly describe your professional background, expertise, experience working with at risk youth ages 16 - 24, and relevant experience related to the presentation topic.
A detailed outline of your presentation including key sections. Describe how your presentation is interactive and activities the attendees will be doing.
Specify the learning outcomes attendees can expect to gain from your presentation. What skill, template, and/or knowledge can attendees use when they walk out of your presentation.
Specify any special audio/visual equipment and any materials needed for your presentation.

Selection Criteria

  • Relevance to Conference Theme: (alignment of your presentation topic with overall conference themes and objectives)
  • Originality and Significance (the novelty and importance of your research or perspective on the subject matter)
  • Presentation Quality (clarity, structure, and potential impact of your proposed presentation format)
  • Speaker Expertise: (demonstrated knowledge and credibility related to the topic)

 

Important Consideration

  • Audience: Dream Out Loud typically attracts at risk youth and young adults between the ages of 16 – 24. The conference demographics are male, female, non-binary, attendees are predominately African American, Hispanic, and White from urban, suburban, and rural areas of Illinois.
  • Time Allotment: Presentations will be approximately 60 minutes long.
  • Ethical Considerations: all presentations should adhere to high ethical standards and relevant professional guidelines.
  • Atmosphere: high energy, enthusiastic, fast paced, and authentic. The conference is a safe space for all participants, presenters, volunteers, and guests.
